Walking update
Whitney is doing such a good job learning to walk. She is now CHOOSING to walk to things rather than crawl. She walked all the way from the living room to my office, on her own, just to see dad and me last night. It's just a miracle.

WALKING!!!!
Oh what a glorious time. HUGE Breakthrough yesterday.Whitney started walking all over the house yesterday. Kaitlin called me and told me Whitney was following her all over the house. There I was in ToysRUs balling my eyes out. Thank goodness Kaitlin got a video. I was so worried she wouldn't do it for me when I got home.
When I came home, Whitney and Dad were in the driveway. He let go of her and she WALKED into my arms. What an incredible feeling that was. It was the most beautiful thing I ever saw. She was so proud of herself.
When I got her to school this morning, Whitney walked into the classroom. Her teacher was crying. Whitney showed off her walking for every person who came in the door. She raised her little hands and shouted "Woohoo!" Everyone was so incredibly happy. Her PT said she walked about 200 feet up to the office and back on her own. Her OT was so excited to her she was walking at school that she drove down there just to see!
Just imagine what this will do to open her world...she will walk around with the other kids at her birthday party this summer! She can take tap lessons, ballet lessons, cheerleading (did I say that?)....
It's a whole new world. I have to go toddler-proof my house now....

Walking!
Whitney walked about 7 feet across the floor Friday completely on her own. Of course she did it at her Nanny's house, so we didn't get to see, but I'm sure it won't be long. She crawled with her hands and feet on the floor, touched a wall to help stand up, then took off across the room. Kaitlin said she was very steady right until the end when she fell into the couch.
She turned around after getting to the couch, looked at Kaitlin and said "Walk!"
What a day!
What a day!
